Old Bones, Young Spirit
A former financial services professional, actor, and endurance cyclist, John inspires audiences to re-imagine their potential, navigate high-stress environments, and cultivate sustainable energy, no matter their age. After completing a solo, self-supported 1150-mile bike ride around Lake Michigan to benefit the Danny Did Epilepsy Foundation, John developed a practical framework that translates the mental discipline of extreme endurance into actionable strategies for corporate leadership, personal vitality, and lifelong achievement.
"True endurance is not just about the miles you travel, but the spirit you maintain when the path turns uphill." — A transformative look at resilience for the modern era.

The Adventure Speaker

As the author of 'Old Bones, Young Spirit,' I bridge the gap between physical endurance and professional resilience. Having competed in the most challenging corporate and acting arenas, my journey through the adventure world has taught me that true strength lies in the pursuit of the next horizon. I bring this same drive to corporate environments, helping HR teams and event planners unlock the untapped potential within their own teams.
John has presented at several universities and colleges across the United States, as well as, appeared on NBC, Fox-Chicago and Good Day Northern Michigan.

Voices of Resilience
"As an avid mountaineer who has summited both Everest and K2, Old Bones, Young Spirit captures a wonderful adventure perfectly. Having experienced many of the same weather, body and mind issues that must be overcome to succeed whether cycling long distance or climbing the world's tallest mountains. The life lessons are invaluable as long as you enjoy the journey."
-- Darren Rogers, Everest & K2 Summiter
"John McShea has a unique ability to translate the grueling discipline of endurance cycling into a language that resonates in the boardroom. His storytelling is gripping, but the practical resilience frameworks he provides are what truly set him apart. Our leadership team left feeling re-energized and ready for their next peak."
